Here's the DXDIAG, perhaps someone who knows how to read this stuff can find something: Since you have 100+ hours into the game, the 'save bloat' has. Ive had the most frequent problems with ILS when the number of plugins used is close to the limit for what Fallout NV can handle with the particular system. Like I say, OWB tends to screw up if done later on in the game (in my experience, anyway). NONE, I repeat NONE of the above has worked. Best you can do is turn off auto-save, stop using VATS, avoid Honest Hearts unless you feel you 'need' to do it f for the sake of RPing or whatever, and make sure to do OWB as soon as you can. I'm sure there are other 'fixes' I've tried, but forgot to mention. Disabled the Steam Cloud and Steam In-game community (the last one seemed to work at first, that's how I got to play the game, but after that it failed as well) Uninstalled the game, did a reg clean, reinstalled it Reinstalled the game yesterday, today I noticed that the FalloutNV-directory doesn't exist (perhaps just because I failed to launch the game?) After getting those files back, I verified once again, just to notice that only 1 file failed to verify over and over (anyone any idea which file this could be?) Delete the files I mentioned above and verify the game cache through Steam Delete Fallout.ini, Fallout_Default.ini and FalloutPrefs.ini to let the game create new ones (one would think the game shouldn't be able to launch at all after that, but the launcher was STILL popping up) Bypass the launcher (through directly clicking on FalloutNV.exe) Here comes the list of things I've tried to do: Now I'm stuck with a looping launcher with no means to play the game.

The funny part is, I managed to play the game for a bit, then quit for a few hours, came back and this started to happen. But then the **** hits the fan: when I click Play, the launcher disappears for a few seconds, just to come back a moment later and detect my hardware AGAIN. Whenever I launch the game (through Steam, directly, whatever), a window pops up and says 'New Vegas will now detect your hardware' and after I click OK, it sets everything on High. Ok guys, I seem to have the most annoying thing that could happen to a brand new game: the infamous Launcher Loop.
